6 suspects carry out daytime robbery of upscale clothing store near the Beverly Center

LOS ANGELES (KABC) – Police are asking the public for help in identifying six suspects who have committed what they call a daylight robbery near the Beverly Center.

Four women and two men walked into an upscale clothing store in the 8400 block of Melrose Place, near La Cienega Boulevard, around 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday and began removing handbags from store shelves, according to one. spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department.

Employees at the store attempted to arrest the suspects but were forcibly repelled, the spokesperson said.

The suspects fled with numerous luxury bags and handbags, worth several thousand dollars, authorities said.

Cameras captured the suspects as they fled the scene in a gray Mercedes-Benz.

The male suspects are believed to be between 18 and 25, while police say the thieves are between 15 and 25.
