Dublin man killed after car entered Livermore pet food store

LIVERMORE, CA – The Alameda County Sheriff’s Office Coroner’s Office has identified Thomas Lovett, 26, of Dublin as the driver who died after crashing into Livermore’s Pet Food Express store over the weekend.

The crash happened shortly after 1 a.m. on Saturday, NBC Bay Area reported. Pet Food Express is located at 1436 First St.

This is the second time that a driver has crashed into Pet Food Express in the early hours of the morning. In 2013, a driver caused damage totaling several hundred thousand dollars after a car pulled off Stanley Boulevard and passed through a tree and traffic light pole before crashing into the store.

This driver was injured but survived the crash.

Also on Saturday, a car crashed into a house in Dublin. The driver was hospitalized, but the residents were not injured.
