Located in Falkirk’s Central Retail Park, the 15,000 square foot new look moved into the old Tapi Carpets & Floors store next door – a move that saw M&S premises expand by 70%, the additional space being entirely devoted to food.
According to M&S, the store – which has not only had a facelift, but has also changed its name to M&S Falkirk Food – has a marketplace atmosphere that has been designed to make shopping “convenient and inspiring”.
Leading a team of 80 staff in the larger premises, manager Brian Torley said: “Cutting the ribbon and welcoming customers for the first time will be a great moment for the team and I hope that many local residents will join us. .
“M&S has served clients at Falkirk for over 80 years. My team and I are really excited about our biggest store. We will work hard to provide exceptional service and help make every penny count for the community.
“Our new food hall will offer all the everyday essentials, along with seasonal inspiration and innovation such as a much larger in-store bakery, which really adds to the market feel of the store. “
