Like so many other companies, Book & Bar struggled to recruit staff after the pandemic. They closed indefinitely in mid-July to give their employees a well-deserved rest without saying when they would return. Well praise the gods of caffeinated drinks because Book & Bar has placed this magnificent “OPEN” flag outside their establishment this week.
According to Book and bar Facebook page, they offer homemade soups, salads, sandwiches, small plates and assorted pastries. And if you’re thirsty, you can have a cocktail, a beer, a glass of wine or sip a delicious espresso!
This is the kind of treat they serve at the Book & Bar;
Their extensive menu of food and drink, paired with a variety of used and discounted books available for purchase, is what makes Book & Bar truly one of a kind!
Check out this video they posted that really captures their essence:
The idea that bookstores could be a thing of the past thanks to the power of Amazon doesn’t suit me. It is up to us to make bookstores live and prosper! Who doesn’t like to post in a bookstore on a rainy afternoon? And a bookstore where you can sip wine or a martini is EVEN BETTER! Now that Book & Bar is open again, I will definitely be entering.
